Ladli foundation

I recently joined a Social Internship at an excellent non-profit organization called Ladli Foundation. As someone who is passionate about bringing change to the world, I am very grateful to get an opportunity to participate in this social internship. Ladli Foundation is an NGO that helps vulnerable young girls and women especially those from underprivileged backgrounds by providing them with education, life skills, and healthcare.

The Founder

Devendra Kumar, the founder of the Ladli Foundation is a great person with an aim to help the women of India. He grew up in a crime-prone slum along with his sister Ladli, after whom he named the NGO. The many mishaps and miseries that he and his sister experienced from getting beaten up to saving his sister from child marriage and dowry shaped his idea for this foundation.

For everything he accomplished with the foundation, he was recognized by UN Secretary-General António Guterres for raising his voice to highlight the agenda of women's health and the elimination of child marriages in developing countriesHe was also titled as a "True Hero" by Mr Amitabh Bachan.

Aim

Ladli Foundation recognises the problems in India such as gender discrimination, poverty, and lack of education, and aims to address these problems.

Ladli Foundation ensures that every young girl has access to education, regardless of their socioeconomic background. They provide scholarships, tuition support, and other aid to help girls stay in school and reach their full potential.

They also focus on healthcare. They run several health camps and often run campaigns to promote and educate them on good hygiene, sanitation, and reproductive health.

They also help girls build the confidence and skills they require to pursue their careers such as entrepreneurship, speaking skills, and leadership training.

Conclusion

Overall, they are making a huge impact on the lives of women in India through their initiatives helping break down gender barriers, empowering girls to stand up for themselves, bringing them out of poverty, and helping them to pursue their dreams. By contributing to Ladli Foundation You too can help to make a difference to improve the lives of these girls and build a brighter future for India.
